Innovation and Introducing waterproofing membrane from Lanstar Coatings (UK) to Jordan.
1987

Foundation UGC

Mahmoud Anabtawi embarked on founding UGC, he was driven by a vision of servicing the construction sector in Jordan with quality construction chemicals and coatings.
1989

Acrylic Waterproofing Coating

Production unit of Acrylic waterproofing coating under the brand Uniguard.
1991

Innovation of Water Based Emulsions

Production unit of Water based emulsions and putties under the brand Universal.
2001

From Basement to Roof

Jotun Jordan was established in the Capital Amman; and signing agreement for exclusive distribution of Jotun Paints in Jordan.

Company Registration

UGC is registered as Limited liability company in Amman, Jordan.

Fast Growth and Expansions
- Withaq contracting established as an independent finishing contractor.
- MP has grown at a fast pace in Joint venture agreement signed with Colorificio MP of Italy – Universal MP is born.
- UGC has many brands, including UNIGUARD Brand success began as an English franchise in 1986 specializing in acrylic insulation materials and expanded a basket of products that included cement, bitumen and silicon insulation products.

Universal Paint Technologies (UPT) was founded, with solution and strategy under one roof.

Distribution Division is born to sell UGC products to the retail market.

Branch Sales Productivity & Expansion

JOTUN services at its 3 main branches and there were more than 35 Jotun multi-colours center operating in Jordan.
